Roser Day — Xicots de Vilafranca

Vilafranca del Penedès

On the last Sunday of October, the red shirt of the Xicots celebrates its most identity day with two invited groups. Eight or high-end castles, lunch at Cal Noi-Noi and a photographic exhibition close the course and vindicate the fighting spirit of the gang.

The red shirt of the Xicots takes off just before All Saints with its own day, dedicated to the Virgin of the Roser. Since 1982, the gang has invited two formations and seeks to crown the season by offloading their best eight castles or, in years of good pace, the tower again with lining.
The Plaza de la Vila is dyed red and the performance is lived with particular warmth: the Xicots claim to be a group of working-class improvement, faithful to the spirit of their beginnings. Afterwards, Cal Noi-Noi hosts lunch and dancing, strengthening ties with the club and the neighbors who have helped them during the year.
Roser Day is also a good time to visit the annual photo exhibition that the gang puts together to remember milestones and emotions of the season.
