On Saturdays in July at noon, VINSEUM proposes a guided tour of its permanent collection. From the Iberian amphorae found in the Penedès to the hydraulic press of the beginning of the 20th century, the visitor discovers how the vineyard has shaped the history, the economy and even the character of the Penedès people.
The visit, led by an art historian, highlights unique pieces such as the oldest documented cava plate or the recreation of a farmhouse cup. The tour ends at the tasting area, where a glass of wine or must is offered to toast to the wine heritage.
The museum, housed in the medieval royal palace, combines interactive and audiovisual panels and is an essential stop to understand Vilafranca as the Capital of Wine.
