On the night of April 30, sparks cross squares and avenues: the Ball de Diables de Vilafranca organizes the Diabòlic, a procession of fire that invites two gangs of devils and a beast from other places in the Catalan Countries. The itinerary changes every year to reach a different neighborhood, decentralizing the party and involving the neighborhood in the show of gunpowder and tabal.
The parade culminates with a joint lighting and final lighting that illuminates the Penedès night, preluding the Revetlla de Sant Joan. El Diabolico is also a space for the exchange of pyrotechnic techniques and choreographies, reinforcing the network of fire culture.
Timbal workshops and safety talks are offered for the little ones, making them aware that the passion for fire must be linked to respect for risk.
