Camí del Vi — sensory walk between the city and the vineyards

Few proposals explain Vilafranca's viticultural vocation as well as the Camí del Vino. Throughout the summer — and especially in the coming weeks — this self-guided 3.5 km itinerary links the Tourist Office with the Torre de les Aigües, touring the mosaic of vineyards that embraces the town. The layout is flat and suitable for all ages and, thanks to eight themed stations, invites you to awaken your sense of smell, touch and sight to understand the cycle of the vineyard, the farmer's work and the magic inside each bottle.

The initiative, devised by the Tourist Service, is ideal to do it at the pace you want: it can be completed in about three hours or stop without haste at each of the interpretive points. Anyone who comes with a scoundrel can download “The Game of the Seasons” and turn the walk into a family gymkhana full of challenges, riddles and curiosities about vines, grapes and local fauna.

Among the most beloved stops is the one that explains the dry stone and the one that allows you to compare traditional varieties such as parellada or sumoll with more recent ones. The panels combine informative texts, old photographs and QR codes that expand the information. All this makes the Camí del Vi an immersive experience to discover, in a free way, the agricultural beat that defines Vilafranca. A perfect proposal to fill a morning or afternoon within our weekly agenda and that of the following three weeks, whether walking, jogging or even cycling.
