Calima Festival — Xics Calima: Filomena

On Friday afternoon, the Calima Festival turns its gaze to the family audience with the XICS CALIMA space. It stars Filomena, a quartet that turns traditional music into an adventure territory where boys and girls can sing and dance without complexes.
The group arrives in Vilafranca to present their first album, “Tra Tra Tro”, a collection of popular songs passed through the sedàs of modern rhythms and theatrical brushstrokes. The stage — without stands or barriers — turns into a large roundabout where young and old are invited to jump, shake hands and discover instruments of folk roots that they often do not see at large concerts.
The session, which lasts about an hour, includes express workshops where children can play tambourines or flabiol under the supervision of specialized monitors, and ends with a small parade through the gardens of the Auditorium.
The activity is free but it is necessary to collect a previous ticket on the festival website to control the capacity and guarantee the safe play space for families to enjoy a different musical afternoon in the heart of Vilafranca.
