The program “Summer of music at the Celler de la Fassina” invites, on July 16, 2026 at 7:00pm, the Choir and Band of the Saint Cecilia's School in London. The youth ensemble arrives at the Penedès as part of a pedagogical tour that aims to bring British choral repertoire and classic bandits to the Catalan public.
The stage is the Celler Fassina de Can Guineu, an old industrial space from the end of the 19th century converted into a cultural and tourist center. The main hall offers warm acoustics that enhance the voices and metals of the students, led by teachers specialized in community music. The program includes spirituals, contemporary arrangements and works by composers such as Holst and Elgar, along with some surprise in Catalan to thank for the welcome.
The event is free thanks to the collaboration between the City Council's Culture Service, Go Music and the Cava Centre, which provides part of the technical material. At the end of the concert, the musicians share a small snack with the audience, creating cultural and linguistic bridges between young people from two communities united by the love of music.
