Penedès 360º is the great adventure on wheels that invites you to discover, in a single proposal, the immensity and contrasts of the region: from the marine blue of the coast to the orange greens of the vineyards and the steep profiles of the coastal mountains. The project was born as a collaborative initiative of tourism companies, accommodation, guides and transfer services that want to facilitate self-guided routes, segmented into stages and adaptable to all levels of physical preparation.
The basic route —The Original— is circular and runs for the most part on compacted tracks, rural roads and low-traffic roads, with mandatory crossing points in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Vilafranca, the plain of Foix and the seafront of Baix Penedès. Based on this nodal route, the website offers thematic variants: Gravel, MTB All Mountain, Back Roads Road and even a family proposal with short sections and bike-friendly accommodations.
The strong point of the Penedès 360º is logistics: a bicycle rental service (muscular or electric) is available to the cyclist, luggage transport between accommodations, on-call workshops and downloadable GPS tracks with all the signposted alternatives. The collaborating establishments guarantee closed spaces for storing bicycles, energy menu and updated weather information.
Another incentive is the interpretive dimension. At each stage, viewpoints, castles and wineries are indicated, and the traveler is invited to download geolocated podcasts that explain everything from the ancestral cultivation of malvasia to the battles of the Hispanic Brand. The sections that border Sant Sadurní allow you to delve into the industrial architecture of the cava and stop for a tasting or visit the Interpretation Center.
Penedès 360º is also a commitment to sustainability: it incorporates e-bike recharging points powered by photovoltaic energy, signaling good practices with respect to crops and promotion of zero-kilometer product in partner-member accommodations. All this makes the route at the same time sporty, scenic and gastronomic.
The flexibility of its packages — from two to six days — makes it suitable for both expert riders looking for slopes and technical trails and for groups of friends who want to calmly enjoy the wineries and the sea. Registrations are made online and the calendar is open all year round, although spring and harvest are undoubtedly the most photogenic times.
In short, Penedès 360º turns the simple act of pedaling into a sensory journey through the four cardinal points of the region, adding value to the entire local fabric and reinforcing the image of Penedès as a reference cycling destination in southern Europe.
