Miravinya La Miranda d'Espiells

The “Miranda d'Espiells” is part of the five viewpoints of the Miravinya project, created by Penedès Wine Tourism to highlight the rich landscape diversity of the territory. From the tiny hill where it is located, a short distance from the hermitage of Sant Benet, the visitor obtains a 360° panoramic reading of the “ocean” of vineyards that stretches between the Anoia and the stream of Lavernó, with the foothills of Montserrat in the background.

The viewpoint is signposted with a modern metal panel that functions as a rose of the winds: it indicates nearby villages, main wineries and even allows you to identify grape varieties according to the shape and tone of the nearest vines. On the ground, a small wooden platform offers space for wheelchairs and for school groups, demonstrating the will to make the Miravinya an inclusive resource.

Between April and October, many wine tours stop there to pair the landscape with a glass of cava at the golden hour. The Tourist Office also organizes photography sessions and, in a more intimate way, the neighbors go up there on the night of San Juan to see the distant fires of the surrounding villages.

Without reaching the heritage of the neighboring hermitage, Miranda is today a symbol of this new way of living the Penedès: calmly, with respect and always with the five open senses.
