With 38 editions behind it, L'Istiu is the summer classic that the Department of Youth dedicates to adolescents and young audiences. On Wednesdays 1, 8 and 15 July 2026, the Pati de l'Índex hosts music and humor outdoors, always at 10 pm and with free admission.
The inauguration, by BOSS NTG, is based on electronic and urban style. The following week the comic Oye Sherman takes over with a feminist monologue and defiance; and the closing comes with Dj Roger Vendrell, who mixes reggaeton, trap and EDM to make a generation eager to dance to viral hits.
The stage, installed under the banana trees in the courtyard, creates an intimate and safe atmosphere. There is a non-alcoholic bar service, hydration points and chill-out areas with poufs and carpets to sit on. The programme is complemented by information points on sexual health, consumption prevention and sustainable mobility.
The cycle is the result of a participatory process: since February, young people from the municipality propose and vote for artists through the Youth Office. This guarantees a program that connects with the real tastes of the 14-30 year old band and ensures full capacities since courses.
Istiu shows that culture can also be freshness, spontaneity and direct contact between emerging artists and local audiences. After each performance, the musicians and comedians share a small talk, encouraging closeness and exchange.
